Charming rural retreat with excellent food
I recently enjoyed a lovely one-night stay in a Double Room where the atmosphere was welcoming and the surroundings stunning. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, and I particularly loved the relaxing bathroom with its luxurious feel. The dining experience was a highlight, offering locally sourced breakfast options that were delicious and well-prepared. The only downside was the heating issue that made the room a bit too warm at times.

The Four Poster Bedroom was super comfy and beautifully decorated. The bath treats were a nice touch for our anniversary. The whole vibe was cozy and relaxing, perfect for a getaway! Only thing was, the cooked breakfast portion felt a little small. But honestly, loved the his and hers bath!

Lovely stay in nature!
We stayed for 3 nights and loved every moment! The room was super comfy, especially the four-poster bed. Breakfast was a treat—scrambled eggs with smoked salmon was my fave! the walking trails around were so peaceful, just what we needed. Only wish there were more choices for snacks later. Otherwise, perfect!

Loved the beautiful building and friendly staff. The room was nicely decorated and comfy. I had a fab view from the balcony. The breakfast menu was top-notch, with amazing locally sourced options. Just wish the shower had a bit more pressure, but it was still a great stay overall.

Location is serene, nestled away from the main road, making it perfect for relaxing walks. The room's four-poster structure adds a touch of romance and comfort, despite the lack of a scenic view outside.
The room overlooked a public courtyard, which detracted from the experience—improvement seems unlikely. Even though the bed gave the impression of comfort, both mornings left my wife and me with some back pain, perhaps due to the mattress softness. The bath menu lacked a non-alcoholic option without special requests, which feels a bit off for a place aiming for luxury. the large bath needs either a longer non-slip mat or two mats, as a slip is just waiting to happen.

Had a great time with friends! We explored the local countryside and visited a nearby historic site. The rooms were comfy and spotless. Breakfast was generous too. Highly recommend the sandwiches at the bar if you're arriving late.
The only downside was the slow Wi-Fi during our stay, which made it hard to check in for our flights.

Just a suitable option for a quick trip in Ashby cum Fenby with extraordinarily good value for money. The lunch for four at £45 was a pleasant surprise with beautifully cooked meals and quick service. Opt for the midweek lunch deal for a great meal.

The view from our room left much to be desired, as it overlooked a plain public courtyard, diminishing the experience. While the bed felt comfortable, both my partner and I woke up with backaches, raising questions about its supportiveness. we didn’t encounter this at home. Dining presented challenges, too. the shared starter was generous but lacked freshness, and my steak was disappointing—more akin to a lesser cut than rib eye. The absence of non-alcoholic options on the bath menu seemed rather limiting, especially considering the spacious bathtub. Safety concerns loomed over the lack of bath handles, and no shower gel or face towels were provided, which felt like a miss for the hotel's upscale aspirations.
